Head Teacher's Welcome

Welcome to Great Binfields Primary Website. I hope you find the information contained here useful, whether you are a pupil having a peek at what other classes have been doing, a prospective parent deciding whether to send your child here, or an existing parent who cannot find the latest newsletter in your child’s bag! This web-site is updated frequently with latest news and information, calendar dates as well as a gallery of children’s displays, work and events. On the children’s class pages you can read reports from visits, see examples of super learning and explore links to recommended web-sites to support learning at home. Please visit regularly or perhaps set Great Binfields as your home page!

Great Binfields is a growing primary school in Basingstoke with 330 pupils arranged in 11 classes presently but we are growing into a full 2 form primary school. There is a purposeful, calm atmosphere in the school where children have fun, are expected to work hard, learn new skills and knowledge and behave well. The children are supported by a hard-working team of teachers, learning support assistants and other members of the support team. The whole staff share a responsibility of raising standards and keeping self-esteem high, but also in making life at school exciting, fun and enjoyable - we all know that happy children make the best learners!

Our most recent Ofsted Inspection in July 2015 substantiated the school’s self-evaluation that Great Binfields is a good school. These include pupils' development and well-being, the care, guidance and support of pupils, the curriculum, behaviour of learners, to name but a few!

Although the website is comprehensive and contains lots of information, there is nothing better than seeing the school working from first-hand. So in order to fully experience the energy and enthusiasm of our school we invite you to make an appointment to sample the positive, hard-working atmosphere and to see for yourself why Great Binfields is a really good choice for your children.

It is a real privilege to be Headteacher of this school and I am proud of all the people who contribute in some way to providing high quality education and opportunities for our children. We hope that the children leave Great Binfields having achieved their very best and look back with really positive and happy memories of the people, events and their time at this school.
