Your child needs to access their remote education via Seesaw - a digital learning journey platform.
However, it is important to note that if your child(ren) are themselves too ill then they should not be expected to engage in remote home education until they are feeling better. This information just needs to be communicated with your child’s teacher via our Seesaw platform.
Different areas of the curriculum will be planned for your child to access daily so that they do not miss out on the objectives being taught in class and therefore reducing the risk of missing key concepts and hindering their learning journey. Activities/tasks will be designed to be completed in your home and garden. These activities will now be directly linked to what your child would have been taught in school at that time and will make specific reference to new teaching content as well as consolidating previous learning too.
Remote Education will be shared on the Seesaw platform in a variety of ways – sometimes through PDF documents, images, videos explaining concepts, teacher audio recordings and links to other websites. Children can respond to the tasks set on paper and then take a photo to upload to Seesaw (particularly useful if IT is being shared) or they can draw, type or record audio straight onto the platform.
Your child will need their current CGP books too - so please ask a family member or local friend to pick these up from school for your child.
If you haven't done so already, it is advisable that parents/carers download the Seesaw app on their phone too so you can see when there is a notification of either a new activity that's been posted for your child or if there is teacher feedback for your child to read/listen to.
Please only use Seesaw as a means of communicating about homework or remote learning. Any other query must be sent through email@example.com.
Log onto your child's account below to find out what they will be doing.
Your child's teacher will give Seesaw feedback on your child's uploads using typed, icon or through audio responses.
Your child's class teacher may also give advice on next steps, some extra explanation or a further challenge.
Please return your child's current year group CGP books when they return back from self isolation or after Lockdown as they will be using them in school too.
