Today, the Year 5 and 6 children welcomed Jungle Jonathan and his many creepy crawly friends into their classrooms as part of our ‘Walk on the Wildside’ topic. Although many of the children were a little apprehensive at the start of the session (including the adults), the children were absolutely fantastic when taking part and facing their fears. They all showed a very calm and caring nature with both the animals, and each other - encouraging one another with a ‘give it a go’ attitude. The children were able to ask lots of burning questions about the animals that live in the Amazon Rainforest and were blown away by Jungle Jonathan’s knowledge and love for his creatures. Year 5 and 6 were able to interact with Millie the millipede, a Madagascan Ground Boa and tarantula to name but a few creatures. If you wanted to have a little look of your own at some of the animals that came into school today, I would urge you to take a look at Jungle Jonathan’s website: http://www.jonathansjungleroadshow.co.uk. Check out our class pages (Sycamore and Willow) to have a look at some of the pictures we took today!
