This afternoon year 3 and 4 girls enjoyed their first woodland activities afternoon with Mr Wood and I. They were given the challenge of creating a woodland mobile or a wind chime. The girls used natural items brought in from home and of course natural materials from our woodland to create these wonderful creative pieces (but we did sneak in some buttons and beads too)! The girls worked well in their groups and they definitely practiced their cooperation skills. The end results were amazing and they proudly showed their creations to the boys afterwards.
Last term the Year3 and 4 boys had fun making their woodland monsters with us, as outlined in one of our newsletters. They too learned lots from the experience and enjoyed it immensely.
Both groups can't wait for their second adventure...we are very much excited too but they will have to wait for a while as we would like to work with other year groups... I wonder which group will be working with Miss Rogers and Mr Wood next time? You shall just have to wait and see.
I would like to thank Mr Wood for helping me to make this super initiative possible.
