The children in Year 4 were very lucky this week as they had their Saxon and Viking Treehouse Theatre Day. Ben from Treehouse Theatre was as engaging as ever and gave all the key historical figures life. All children had an important role in the play – some of them talking about Saxon plans to fend off the Vikings, some of them defeating their enemies and some of them, unfortunately, suffering a terrible fate!

There was so much to learn from the play, much of it enhancing the two History topics we have already studied this year. We were blown away with the creative yet respectful behaviour demonstrated in Year 4 and we left in awe of Ben’s memory, knowledge and acting skills!
