Year 4 Visit Basing House

Yesterday, the year 4 children went on a trip to Basing House. When they were there, they explored the site and found out lots about the history of the house. This linked nicely to their Tudor topic last half term as Henry VIII visited and Queen Mary I and Phillip II of Spain had their honeymoon there!

 

They took part in a variety of activities such as: looking at artefacts, learning about Tudor medicine and even a treasure hunt using gps equipment.

“I loved the views at Basing House.” Louis.

“I really liked the food sorting activity.” Bella.

“I liked learning about Tudor medicine. Some of it was disgusting!” Ella.
