Key Stage 1 children travelled back in time to the medieval era today and wow did they have a great day! (Be sure to ask your children what they have learnt today!) Year 2 researched what people ate in medieval times before creating a menu, trying to persuade others to eat some unusual food! Year 1 were busy creating shields, making bread and learning medieval dances. In the afternoon Years 1 and 2 had a rotation of activities, including jousting, medieval games and shooting handmade bow and arrows! It was great to see the children dressed up ready for the occasion, getting involved in every aspect of the day. I know the adults certainly enjoyed the day too!
