Great Binfields is a popular school in Basingstoke with 420 pupils arranged in 14 classes, making us a 2 form entry primary school. There is a purposeful, calm atmosphere throughout where our children have lots of fun exploring. They are expected to try hard and develop resilience - understanding that making mistakes is a huge part of our learning journey. Our children learn lots of new skills through a rich and wide ranging enquiry based curriculum and they apply these skills in different contexts as well as show great learning behaviours. Our children are supported by a hard-working team of teachers, learning support assistants and other members of the support team. The whole staff share a responsibility of  keeping self-esteem high, making learning life at school exciting, fun and enjoyable but also of course having a shared accountability for raising standards. Above all else, we all know that happy children make the best learners!

Our most recent Ofsted Inspection in November 2022 substantiated the school’s self-evaluation that Great Binfields is still a good school. These include pupils' development and well-being, the care, guidance and support of pupils, the curriculum, behaviour of learners, to name but a few!  

We have made sure that our website is comprehensive and contains lots of information. We realise that there is nothing better than seeing the school working from first-hand however in current circumstances, we are unable to do so.
