Welcome to Friends of Great Binfields Page!

All parents and staff are automatically members of our school’s PTA, The Friends of Great Binfields (FOGB). The committee is re-elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. Any parent or carer can join the committee so do come along to our AGM and join us. You can also volunteer at our events without being a committee member so please do get in touch if you can help - thank you!

FOGB are very active in raising money for the school. We aim to fund projects that benefit every child and enrich their learning and wellbeing. We run lots of events throughout the year, including school discos, a summer BBQ, Christmas events, quiz nights, raffle draws, and cake and ice cream sales. We also have pre-loved school uniform which is available throughout the year for a small donation from the Friends of Great Binfields PTA website - https://www.pta-events.co.uk/friendsofgreatbinfields

We could not be as successful without the fantastic support of all the parents, carers and staff at GBP. We really appreciate any help and would love to have you join us if you can - even if you can only give your time for one event that is very welcomed, you do not have to commit to them all! HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Volunteer

Any parent or carer can join the committee. We are always looking for new fundraising ideas, so come along to the AGM and join. Our events couldn't run without volunteers giving their time to help for 30 mins on a stall at a fair, or at a disco event. So if you can help in this way please let us know. You don’t have to join the committee in order to help at an event, and you also don’t need to commit yourself to helping at every event - any time you can give would be so appreciated.

Support our events

We understand that not everyone is able to help at events, so just buying a ticket to a disco, baking a cake for the cake sales or coming along to our events is a great support.

Match funding

Match funding is another way you can help us. FOGB is a registered charity and as such, some companies and employers will match any money raised at a charity event. Match funding has been an incredible boost to our fundraising efforts, so please check if the company you work for has a scheme or can start one. SECOND HAND UNIFORM

FOGB are always very grateful for uniform donations. We are happy to collect in good quality branded cardigans, jumpers and summer gingham dresses. Please bring any donations into the school office, and place them in the donations box outside the front door.

We do hold uniform sales at the school occasionally, and new starters to Year R will have the opportunity to purchase uniform at one of their children’s settling in sessions. However, the easiest way to purchase second hand uniform is through our online shop here - https://www.pta-events.co.uk/friendsofgreatbinfields - for a small donation to the FOGB, and your chosen uniform will be delivered to your child’s classroom.

PE T SHIRTS

Your child will be in one of four coloured houses or teams at school. Red, blue, green or yellow. On P.E. Days and Sports Day they will need to wear a coloured T shirt to represent their house. This can of course be any plain T shirt you might happen to have, but if you haven't got one, FOGB sell all the colours in many sizes. As always, all the profit goes to school fundraising objectives.
