Welcome to Friends of Great Binfields Page!
All parents and staff are automatically members of our school’s PTA, The Friends of Great Binfields (FOGB). The committee is re-elected each year at the Annual General Meeting in September. Any parent or carer can join the committee so do come along to our AGM and join us.
FOGB are very active in raising money for the school. We aim to fund projects that benefit every child and enrich their learning and wellbeing. Have a look below at some of our achievements over the last few years. We run lots of events throughout the year, including the children’s Christmas fair, a Christmas gift fair, a summer BBQ, quiz nights, school discos and cake and ice cream sales. We also have school uniform which is available throughout the year for a small donation.
We could not be as successful without the fantastic support of all the parents, carers and staff at GBP. We appreciate all the support and would love to have you join us if you can. Alternatively you can help us by asking your employer for donations to raffles or match-funding, or volunteering at one of our events. Please see the document below which details companies who currently match-fund. It’s always worth asking! If you would like to contact us please email as at this address: friends.of.great.binfields@gmail.com You might also like to consider joining our school Facebook community https://www.facebook.com/groups/1611389272423283 where you will be able to find out about upcoming events and connect with other parents and carers.
We look forward to seeing you at the next FOGB event!

Second hand uniform
FOGB are always very grateful for uniform donations. We are happy to collect in good quality branded cardigans, jumpers and fleeces. Grey or black skirts, dresses, trousers or shorts and summer gingham dresses. We also welcome good quality white airtex shirts, PE kit and shoes/trainers. Please bring any donations into the school office.
Second hand uniform sales are held throughout the year. If your child is starting mid-way through the year, please contact the school office with what uniform items you might be interested in and in what sizes. The FOGB will try to help you. New starters to year R will have an opportunity to buy uniform at one of their children's settling in sessions.
All uniform is available for a small donation to FOGB and all proffits go into our fundraising projects.
How you can help
Volunteer
Any parent or carer can join the committee. We are always looking for new fundraising ideas, so come along to the AGM and join. Our events couldn't run without volunteers giving their time to help for 30 mins on a stall at a fair, or at a disco event. So if you can help in this way please let us know.
Support our events
We understand that not everyone is able to help at events, so just buying a ticket to a disco, baking a cake for the cake sales or coming along to our events is a great support.
Match funding
Match funding is another way you can help us. FOGB is a registered charity and as such, some companies and employers will match fund money raised at a charity event you helped with. Match funding has been an incredible boost to our fundraising efforts, so please check if you can help in this way. A list of companies who have match funding policies can be found below.
Easy fundraising and Amazon Smile
FOGB are registered for both of these cash back schemes, so next time you are making an online purchase, please consider going through ones of these on line platforms. It costs you nothing and raises money for school. Please pass this on to family and friends as they can help too.
