Learning a musical instrument
All children at Great Binfields have the opportunity to take up an instrument if they wish. This is provided by Hampshire Music Service, our private keyboard tutor and The Rock & Pop Foundation at a cost to parents. Where appropriate we are able to financially support children in their music making, for example, those who benefit from the Pupil Premium or grants from charitable trusts. Please ask the school office for more details if you feel you would benefit from financial assistance.
Not sure what instrument to choose?

Worrying about how to help your child with their practise?
Hampshire Music Service - our local music hub
We subscribe to the Hampshire Music Service for planning and resource support to strengthen our provision in school further and received a glowing evaluation in our last HMS Music Audit. Mrs Irons receives regular CPD from Hampshire Music Service in order to build upon already effective teaching strategies and skills. Please see their external website for more information about this organisation's commitment to "give every child a chance to participate, enjoy and achieve by making music together".
