Digital Leaders

At Great Binfields we empower 4 pupils in each year group in Key Stage Two to be 'Digital Leaders'. These are our Computing Ambassadors and tech. wizards! They take on a number of key roles and help their teachers to troubleshoot when Computing goes wrong (as sadly it does from time to time!). They also promote the importance of e-safety and remind their peers of this on a regular basis. This also involves them conducting a number of whole school e-safety assemblies throughout the year. In addition, they help to plan and deliver 'Safer Internet Day' which the school celebrates annually in February. Take a sneaky peak at their Job Description (which they take very seriously ;-)

Pupils interested in becoming a Digital Leader need to apply for the role and are then voted in by the existing Digital Leaders team. Our new Year Threes have just been recruited! Once elected into the role, unless they wish to stand down (very rare!), they remain as a Digital Leader for the rest of their time here at GBP; they do not need to re-apply for the role year on year.

Mrs Holdsworth is incredibly proud of the impact our Digital Leaders have across the school. I know the teachers are mightily grateful for their meticulous level of organisation when helping to put computing equipment away!
