A buzz of Science in Year 4

This afternoon, Y4 finished their first week back after Stone Farm with a Science session. The Year 4s were tasked with combining all the components accurately to make a working electrical circuit. We knew the word circuit linked to a roughly circular shape - this helped us to think about what we would need for our electrical circuit to flow correctly. We used crocodile clips, wires, bulbs, batteries and casings. Once we saw those bulbs shining bright, it was time for some challenges! Some 'I wonder if ...' statements really got us thinking, as we tested what happens when more bulbs were added or the order of components were changed.

As you can see by these photos, Y4 loved their Science this afternoon. I wonder what next week will bring!
