The children settled really well last night and were excited to spend their first night away! They slept brilliantly after enjoying an exciting (and very soggy) night walk yesterday evening where they got to try pine needle tea! They have all been working well with the children in their rooms to keep everything tidy and organised.

To launch day two, the children energised themselves with delicious pancakes, berries, maple syrup or chocolate sauce! We then enjoyed a jam-packed day full of activities, including: abseiling, mountain biking, zip wire and bush craft. We have been really impressed with the amount of grit, determination and courage that the children have displayed throughout the day. Some children even confronted their fears and despite feeling nervous, truly gave their all to each activity. Lunch was spaghetti bolognese, garlic bread and jacket potatoes which was much appreciated after a busy, high energy morning.
 

We have honestly been so impressed with the children and can see the Great Binfields values shining through in their attitudes and behaviours, despite it being quite rainy. Teamwork, resilience, creativity in their problem solving and aspiration to succeed have been in abundance over the past few days. It has been so wonderful to see the children working together so beautifully and encouraging each other in some high-adrenaline activities!

This evening, we have enjoyed pizza night and will be having a cosy film before heading to bed where we are sure everyone will sleep well after another busy day.
