Avon Tyrrell - Day 3
Last night, the children were happy to have an early night after a dinner, a shower and a movie night. Raring to go, we woke up to good weather again today (thank goodness) and even had sunshine this morning, lighting up the glorious grounds. After filling up on a delicious cooked breakfast, we have been able to make the most of our activities today.
The children have been throwing themselves down the zip line (some even hanging upside down - by choice), have made catapults in pioneering and survived ‘storms’ in their shelter building. Today, the staff have been so impressed by the growing teamwork and cooperation amongst the children - especially evident during the challenge course. We have been fuelled by delicious food - burgers and homemade chips for lunch and stir fry this evening.
We enjoyed a camp fire this evening. The children enjoyed singing songs and playing games, alongside toasting marshmallows. After another busy day, the children will be looking forward to bedtime before the last day, tomorrow.
