Harvest at St Mary's

Today our children had a wonderfully bright and sunny walk to Basing so that we could have our Harvest Festival at St Mary's Church. We would like to say a big thank you to Rev. Heather, the kind church warden and the talented organist as we received a lovely service. Rev. Heather's words and prayers really made us reflect on the food that is put before us and think as well as thank everyone involved in that process. We realised that hundreds of people are involved in ensuring we have breakfast each morning for example  - we are helped by the farmers, shop keepers, the lorry drivers, etc! Some of our children shared their harvest art work which was super and some read parts of the bible and prayers so well too.

Our walk as I said was bright and sunny filled with birdsong. We also noticed that the seasons are changing - Autumn is definitely coming!
