The children in Year 3 had the best time on Tuesday when they dressed up for Stone Age day. Thank you to all the Year 3 parents for your support with the costumes. They all looked absolutely incredible! 

The highlight of the day was spending time in the woods! The children enjoyed getting into character through role play, such as hunting and making shelters. They also learned how to make fire. The fires were then used to cook meat and vegetable stews for the children to eat in the afternoon. Whilst some children were not keen to taste the end result, others came back for extra helpings! 

Another highlight was making Stone Age clay houses, based on the settlement found at Skara Brae! They showed real perseverance to produce the finished result, with most houses taking at least an hour to make! 

A great day was had by everyone! We can't wait for the next theme day!
