Year 5 French Cooking and Food Tasting
Year 5 have been enjoying their current topic 'Ooh La La' which looks at different aspects of French life, culture, geography and history. Obviously a topic about France wouldn't be complete without trying some French delicacies!
The children took part in a French food tasting session where they tried foods such as croissants, brie and creme caramel. They had to write a short description of each food using their senses and then give it a mark out of 5.
Late on, they made Croque Monsieur and are currently writing instructions about how to make it in their English lessons. Did you know that if you add a fried egg to the top of a Croque Monsieur, it becomes a Croque Madame?
