Autumn EARA meeting
Today our EARA (Equality and Rights Advocates) group took part in their Autumn cluster meeting with other schools from across Basingstoke. For some of our group it was their first time attending and they really made GBP proud! They showed many of our school values, got involved in discussions and were highly engaged. For those who had been before, they displayed a real confidence when talking about issues surrounding rights and equality.
The morning began with a quick recap on the purpose of EARA and the United Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Then the children took part in a game with pupils from other schools which had a focus of listening. They watched a video called 'Belonging' and finally created a mind map about what belonging means to them.
