Year 3 Trip to Fishbourne
What an exciting Friday Year 3 had! They visited Fishbourne Roman Palace near Chichester. Throughout the day, they were able to explore the palace, learning facts about how it was found and what happened to it a long time ago. They also had an interactive workshop which involved playing games, making mosaics, looking inside a replica kitchen, spinning wool, wax and ink writing. After this, they walked around the museum learning facts and exploring about roman buildings, coins and houses. In the palace, they have real mosaics on the floor from the Roman time which the children found fascinating to look at the intricate detail. Around the palace, the children wandered around the replica gardens, and realised how it would have looked if they went back in time! It was a wonderful day for the Year 3’s. Their behaviour was excellent and it bought their Roman learning to life!
