Learning Together, Achieving Forever

Day 3 at Stone Farm

There was lots of rain in the night and the rain stopped enough for us to get our farm duties completed this morning. Phew!!!

After breakfast, we got back on the coach and minibus and headed to Plymouth for a day exploring sea creatures at the aquarium. Plymouth was about an hour away from Stone Farm. The clouds were really low over the hills and moorland.

Our day started at Plymouth aquarium, where we were met by the Education Team. We split into our 2 classes and had a tour of the aquarium. We saw starfish, sharks, an octopus, turtle, and many more exciting creatures. We had our lunch, before we headed to Mount Batten Beach. Here we met our  Education Guides from the aquarium again. They set us up with rock pooling equipment and identification cards. With our wellies and coats on, we explored the many rockpools. We had a great time finding small crabs, baby star fish and shrimps.

Here is the website if you would like to investigate more. https://www.national-aquarium.co.uk/

Back at Stone Farm it was raining heavily, so we had some free time before tea.
