Last week, a selection of children from Great Binfields were invited to take part in a community Art day at Eggars Secondary School, funded by the The Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA) Trust Fund. The children enjoyed a range of Art activities, which included using everyday objects to create prints and patterns in clay, which they then filled with plaster. Later they took the clay away from the plaster and were impressed that they were left with a plaster slab with their prints on. They also carried out activities with art specialist teachers, which included drawing using a range of techniques and using foam to create prints - which they particularly enjoyed having the chance to get a bit messy!
The children also got to meet with Mill Farm and loved petting the animals. Some of the children were slightly anxious at first and hadn't touched animals before, so it was great to see them growing in confidence and enjoying petting the animals by the end of the day.
