Year 4 have been enjoying a real DT focus this week. On Monday, they worked in small groups to effectively measure the card components of their torches. Today, they read the two audience profile briefs and thought of how they could target that market with their design. They thought carefully about the colours, images and font style they would use to best attract their audience. They then applied their design to their final products, using careful measurements in order to ensure the sizing was correct. In the afternoon, it was time to jump into the learning pit and piece together the electrical components to get the torch to work. Lots of team work and resilience was needed to complete this stage. We are super proud of what the Y4s have created and hope they are too.
