Science week at Great Binfields

Well we have certainly had an exciting week at Great Binfields this week. The whole school have had Science week. This year the theme was 'growing our future.' We have been looking at the damage humans have had on the environment and what we can do to help. Each year group had a different focus including, plastic pollution, deforestation and air pollution. We had various visitors in to discuss these issues. We have been blown aware with the support from local scientists and organisations who have taken their time to come in and lead activities and talks with the children. We would like to say a big thank you to all of them for  their time and effort to add a real life context to the children's understanding.

Walking round the school this week has been really exciting, seeing the children so engaged and passionate about the Science they are learning about. It has been lovely to see such a variety of experiments and investigations taking place. We are already excited for the next Science week.
