Year 3/4 enjoyed a brilliant learning experience last week! The bakers 'Warburtons' visited both Hazel and Pine class and carried out an engaging workshop on healthy eating, and even Kermit the frog (who features on their latest advert) made an appearance too. The children learnt about the importance of a balanced diet, how to properly wash their hands and prevent germs from spreading when cooking, and were also given the challenge of creating their own healthy sandwich. Part of the challenge was that they had to include at least one slice of brown bread, only one portion of meat and dairy and as much salad as they wanted.
