  • O Come All Ye Binfields!

Fri 07 Dec 2018 Miss Hunt

The children in years 4, 5 and 6 have been busy designing and creating their own Christmas tree decorations over the past few days ready to take part in the annual Christmas tree competition at Christ Church in Chineham. Thanks to a few helpful elves (Miss Hanafin and Miss James!) Great Binfields’ tree is now standing tall and proud, ready to be judged tomorrow. Our children worked hard not only to create their decoration but to also write a heartfelt Christmas prayer/wish to reflect the true meaning of Christmas.

The trees at Christ Church have been decorated by many groups from the local community and the church will reflect the diversity of activities that go on in the local area. Entrance is free, and Christ Church will be open for visitors to come to view the trees all day on the Saturday (10am to 5pm). Prize giving will be at 4:30pm. Throughout the day refreshments will be served, and light lunches will also be available. Proceeds go to support Basingstoke Night Shelter.

If you’re in the local area, why not pop in and place a vote for our tree!

  • Year 5 and 6 first netball match of the season played at Great Binfields

Mon 03 Dec 2018 Miss Lyddon
On Monday 3rd December, our Year 5 and 6 netball team played their first friendly match against Park View Junior school of the season. Both teams played really well throughout the match. Positions were switched throughout the hour of play and all players had to think about their new positions, together with remembering the netball rules. Well done to both teams - a great match and we are very proud of what you achieved.
  • EYFS Nativity

Mon 03 Dec 2018 Ms Rogers

Our youngest children performed brilliantly today in the first of 2 Nativity productions. The children were rightly so proud of themselves and there were so many happy tears in the audience. The children learned their lines, their parts and all of the songs, so, so well. It is amazing to see how quickly our EYFS children have grown in confidence over the past few weeks and many have surpassed our expectations at this point in time which is absolutely lovely to see.

Well done to you all - you are all super stars in my eyes. Thank you for reminding us about the true meaning behind Christmas.

For those of you coming tomorrow, you are in for a real treat. I will upload more pictures for you all tomorrow as well.
