  • Merry Christmas Everyone!

Fri 18 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

Check out the Letters section on our Parents' page. I have inserted a letter for our children. It would not post in this section for some reason.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year.

We shall see you all on Tuesday 5th January.

    Miss Rogers

  • Well done to our super bag packers!

Thu 17 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

A huge well done and thank you to our super school councillors and school ambassadors who came and assisted the public by offering to their bag packing at Tescos last night. The children did so well and were very polite. We raised a staggering £258.78 by doing this - we were really amazed at this total. The money raised will go towards our Growing Outdoor Fund. The children should be proud of themselves as this money is going to go towards a new venture which will be built very soon for all of our children to enjoy.

Thank you to the staff who joined us too - it really was appreciated especially at the end of the term when we are all shattered!

  • Quality Music at GBP

Tue 15 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

We loved hearing some of our children play their musical instruments this week. It was proof in the pudding that practice and pure grit/determination to be good at something does actually work! We were astounded by the quality of music played. Top effort children!

  • INSET DAY NOTICE

Tue 15 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

Please remember that Monday 4th January is our INSET DAY where we will be working in our Focus teams for the day tackling tasks on our action plans. The Spring Term will start on Tuesday 5th January where our doors will open at 8.40am.

  • Cinema Night Success

Tue 15 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

Tonight our children enjoyed spending time together whilst watching a film munching their snacks. The whole evening was a huge success and we are very grateful to The Friends of Great Binfields who assisted with this new venture. You should be really chuffed with yourselves. A super £540 profit was raised and of course all of this money will come back into school to either buy new exciting resources for our children or pay for exciting events such as theatre productions for them. With school budgets being squeezed to an inch...this type of fundraising is all the more needed and really appreciated.

It is great that the Friends of Great Binfields are developing regular events for our school community to sign up to and enjoy.

We hope that the parents of children who attended, made good use of the time to get ahead with their Christmas preparations without having little ones on their shirt tails!

  • No count down - now that surprised us!!!

Tue 15 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers
Today we watched the rocket launch on our big screen after we had an assembly. It was very exciting and we learned lots of new facts as a result of watching and listening.  We were to surprised to learn that the Russians do not countdown like the Americans do when they launch a rocket.
  • The panto is here..Oh not it isn't...Oh yes it is!

Mon 14 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

Wow, I had a lovely surprise this morning when I turned up to work to find a M&M Productions van in our car park!!

It was a case of 'Are you sure it is this morning as we have the pantomime in our diary for Thursday afternoon??!!' A bit of 'Oh no it isn't and oh yes it is '...went on a little bit!

Well as they were here - the show went on and the children loved it! Thank you to the M&M Productions team for putting on a super show of Pinocchio. The children particularly enjoyed singing along with the cast. Let's say it didn't sound as angelic as the singing we heard last week during the EYFS and KS1 productions!! Ha ha!

Fri 11 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

  • Whole School To Christchurch

Thu 10 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers
Our whole school marched to Christchurch yesterday afternoon to go there for our annual Christmas Assembly. We would like to thank Vicky and Maggie for leading it. It is much appreciated. We would also like to say thank you to our super readers, choir and prayer readers too. You were so confident.
  • Well Done Key Stage 1 - A Great Christmas Play!

Thu 10 Dec 2015 Miss Rogers

We are so proud of you all KS1 children!!

The children performed their production of 'Baubles' phenomenally well. The singing was so strong - it sounded professional. You had so many lines to learn and the acting was spot on. A huge thank you for getting us in the Christmas spirit. Everyone was so complimentary about it and rightly so!

It is great to see how confident you are all becoming and it also proves that practice does indeed make perfect!

    Enjoy the following photographs.
