  • A Midwife Crisis Production by KS1

Wed 11 Dec 2019 Ms Rogers
Wow what a marvellous first performance - like I said this morning I thought we had a travelling West End show at our school. The children acted confidently, sang beautifully and danced along to the songs so well too. It really helped us get into the Christmas spirit - a massive well done to you all. So many of you have come so far by getting out of your comfort zone and it is great to see you all shining on stage. We are all so chuffed about your achievements. I can't wait to see it again tomorrow morning at your second and final public performance!
  • What a fabulous set of Christmas jumper designs!

Wed 11 Dec 2019 Ms Rogers

Our Christmas jumper designing competition has become a lovely tradition at our school thanks to Mrs Sheers who organises this each year....and wow, they all look fantastic - so unique and very carefully done as well! All of them are proudly displayed in our library area and our children will find out who has won next week - a small prize will be given to the best designers. It is going to be a real tough task for our judges - I wouldn't want to be in their shoes!

Thank you Mrs Sheers for coordinating this and thank you to everyone who has entered.

  • Forest School Reindeers

Fri 06 Dec 2019 Ms Rogers
This young man was remarkably proud of his reindeer and quite rightly so. I think you can see that in his facial expression! Our Year 5 children have been making these in Forest School. I hope they all sit pride of place when you finally take them home as they are all truly remarkable - each one having a lovely unique personality!
  • Year 6 Space Talk

Tue 03 Dec 2019 Miss Hunt

As part of our Space topic, the children in Year 6 were treated to a visit from Mr Brown, who delivered a presentation about some exciting new developments that his company are currently focusing on - Surrey Satellite Technology. As an expert in the field, he was able to discuss what a satellite is, how we benefit from this technology on a daily basis and the need to continue to pursue technological advancements in an aid to clean up Space! The children also explored a variety of key components that ensure a space craft works effectively e.g. strong, light weight materials that will prevent the satellite from freezing. We are very grateful that Mr Brown was able to take the time to share his passion with the children and bring our ‘out of this world’ topic back to Earth with a very real and tangible job role that they could aspire to.

  • EYFS Nativity News

Tue 03 Dec 2019 Ms Rogers

Our EYFS children gave us a real treat today and yesterday as they shared the story of the Nativity with us. The children belted out the songs - quite literally and they acted so well in front of a large audience. There were lots of very proud family members along with staff too as the children have really grown in confidence since starting with us in September.

Thank you for reminding us of the true meaning behind the festival of Christmas and thank you for officially starting the festive season for us...
